Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data my9games.io collects, what it doesn't, and your rights around it. In short: we don't want your personal data and we've built the site to avoid needing it.

1. What we collect

Boards you save

When you hit Save & Share, we store your 9 game picks, any comments you wrote, and the optional display name you entered. Saved boards are public — anyone with the share URL can view them.

No account data

my9games has no user accounts. We don't ask for your email, password, or phone number. We don't know who you are.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard server request logs (IP address, user-agent, request path, timestamp) for security and debugging. These are retained for up to 30 days and not linked to saved boards.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (e.g. Plausible, Simple Analytics) that do not set cookies or collect personal data. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

2. What we don't collect

  • Personal identifiers (name, address, date of birth).
  • Payment data. The site is free.
  • Location data beyond what IP logs naturally reveal.
  • Behavioral profiles for advertising.

3. Cookies and local storage

Before you save, your in-progress grid lives in your browser's localStorage. We don't set tracking cookies. We may set a strictly-necessary cookie to remember preferences (e.g. theme), but there are none today.

4. Third parties

  • IGDB — we fetch game metadata from IGDB's API. IGDB does not learn who you are; we call their API from our servers.
  • Hosting — the site is hosted on Vercel/Cloudflare and its database is on Supabase. These vendors see server logs per their own policies.

5. Your rights

  • Deletion — email [email protected] with the board URL you want removed. We typically act within 72 hours.
  • Access — because we don't have user accounts, there's no "your data" beyond what's on a specific shared board. That board is already visible to you at its URL.
  • If you're in the EEA/UK/California, the usual GDPR / CCPA rights (correction, portability, objection) apply to whatever limited data we hold.

6. Children

my9games is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes

If this policy materially changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for substantive changes, post a notice on the homepage.
